World Cup Match Preview: Portugal-Ivory Coast

Portugal get set to kick off their World Cup 2010 campaign against the Ivory Coast on Tuesday in what is already a crucial match for both teams in this Group of Death encounter. This looks to be the best encounter of the first set of games of the Group Phase and both Countrys know that a loss could be devasting for either side.
Portugal- Keys to Victory
The Portuguese will need to keep Drogba in check if he is in lineup and maintain ball control, Portugal will need to finish their chance and Deco will need to keep defenders on their toes with his passing.
Ivory Coast- Keys to Victory
The Elephants will need to keep Ronaldo in check and test the Portuguese back four with their speed, set pieces is to the teams advantage and Y. Toure needs to control midfield.
Portugal- Player to Watch
Cristiano Ronaldo, will the World's most expensive player finally score? Its been over 16 months.
Ivory Coast- Player to Watch
Didier Drogba, Drogba is coming off minor surgery and it will be interesting to see how he handles the rough play in front of net if he plays at all.
